SUMMARY:

The Mayor’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is the City of New York’s chief financial agency. OMB's staff of analysts and experts assembles and oversees the Mayor’s expense and capital budgets, which fund the services and activities of approximately 90 City agencies and entities.

OMB’s Correction and Criminal Justice Task Force has primary oversight responsibilities for a number of criminal justice agencies in the City of New York. This task force includes major agencies such as the Department of Correction, Department of Probation and Offices of the District Attorneys.
