DESCRIPTION

Nurses will care for patients that are not unstable enough to require ICU care, but still must have closer monitoring and more frequent assessments. PCU and telemetry nurses employ computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information, and are able to detect changes and enable interventions before a life-threatening situation occurs.

Must have a minimum of 2 years of current critical care experience and uphold the mandatory BCLS and ACLS certifications. Preferred certification consists of a critical care course.
