Provides specific patient care duties and performs unit support activities in the operating room suite.
Demonstrates knowledge of procedures by anticipating needs prior and during each case (e.g., assists with dressings and/or cast application at the end of the procedure).
Picks cases following physician preference card.
Consistently fulfills commitments for additional responsibilities without requiring direction.
Signs count before patient leaves or room; counts with relief person when appropriate.
Counts towel clips, Allis, and Ednas per procedure; accountable for complete instrumental trays.
Reports any exceptions and updates surgeon preference card per entity specific processes.
Complies with all count policies and procedures.
