  • Position: MRI Technician
  • Responsible for operating GE 1.5 scanners in inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Average scans per shift: 7-11
  • Common studies include Neuro, MSK, Abdomen, Breast, MRA/MRV, General MRI
  • Advanced studies required except Cardiac MRI
  • Contrast administration required
  • Pediatric imaging required
  • Patient screening handled by MRI Technologist
  • Patient transport by hospital transport team
  • Radiologist coverage both on-site and remote reading
  • No call required, but holidays required if during call week
  • Sedation cases handled by MRI Tech and Nurse
  • No cross-coverage for CT or X-ray if volume is low
    Job Requirements
  • Required certifications: ARRT (MR) certification only; ARRT (R) not accepted
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • New York state license not required
