Traffic Office Manager

Salary: £37,528 - £40,528 (dependent on experience), 10% bonus potential, 25 days annual leave, generous pension.

Location: Chelmsford VOC, Chelmsford, CM2 5AA.

This role is part of Royal Mail’s transformation to a parcel‑led business and will be integral to National Distribution. You will facilitate the effective running of the transport office in Chelmsford VOC.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Distribution Manager, you will lead and inspire a front‑line team of drivers of large goods vehicles (≥7.5 t). You will:

• Professionalise distribution and ensure operational work plans are achieved.
• Optimise the flow of parcels and mail while maintaining compliance with business policies, the national work plan and Standard Operating Procedures.
