- Embedding all types of tissue
- Sectioning all types of paraffin-embedded tissue
- Compliance with protocols for embedding and microtomy
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of workspace
- Performing special stain and IHC procedures
- Assisting with case assembly and distribution
- Filing blocks and slides
- Proper handling of hazardous waste
- Maintaining documentation and QA programs
- Observing laboratory safety precautions and procedures
- Safeguarding confidential information and upholding security policies
