The Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation at the University of Alberta invites applications for an Assistant Professor rank tenure‑track position in the area of Exercise Intervention and Chronic Disease. The anticipated start date is January 1, 2027.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop an innovative and robust externally‑funded research program involving exercise interventions in human populations experiencing chronic disease (e.g., psychological, neurological, cardiovascular, metabolic). They will also be expected to i) teach graduate and undergraduate courses, ii) contribute to a new undergraduate kinesiology concentration that prepares students to engage in exercise programming with clinical populations, iii) supervise graduate and undergraduate students, and iv) provide service to the Faculty and the University, as well as to professional and external communities.
