**Job Summary and Qualifications**

**The Monitor Technician delivers high quality, patient-centered care by maintaining close observation of patient electrocardiograph monitor output. The Telemetry Technician observes, interprets, and records cardiac telemetry tracings at a central monitoring station and alerts the designated nurse and/or care team member of changes in patient condition. The Telemetry Technician possesses knowledge of dysrhythmia interpretation and utilizes effective communication with unit personnel and interdisciplinary team members.**
