Summary:
Under supervision of an RN, the Cardiac Telemetry Tech assists with clinical care by monitoring and recording cardiac rhythms.

Responsibilities:

+ Documents and interprets patient’s heart rhythm and rate by utilizing telemetry recordings. Identifies patient arrhythmias/abnormalities or significant changes from baseline and reports changes immediately to the assigned nurse.

+ Alerts nursing staff in the event ofarrhythmias/abnormalities or significant changes from baseline.

+ Issues telemetry equipment to patients newly admitted to unit. Maintains inventory ofand tracks issued equipment.

+ Coordinates with outside vendor support to maintain and service telemetry equipment.
