Responsibilities

The Technical Inspector (TI) is the technical expert on assigned aircraft. The role ensures that daily unscheduled and scheduled maintenance actions are conducted in accordance with authorized maintenance procedures, applicable regulations, and properly documented in aircraft logbooks and historical records according to TAMMS-A and any other relevant local procedures.

Responsibilities include:

• Inspect aircraft, aircraft parts, components, and materials in accordance with proper procedures, methods, practices, operations, and safety.
• Review and audit all technical records that support the airworthiness of aircraft in accordance with DAR Pamphlet (phone number) and TM 1-1 (phone number)-23.
• Research technical data and perform inspections on assigned aircraft and components, and support back‑shop repair and overhaul for both AVUM and AVIM maintenance levels.
