Perform system safety engineering activities during the aircraft lifecycle, from system definition and development through verification, validation, and certification.
Develop, update and maintain system safety assessments in accordance with applicable regulations, aerospace standards, and guidance, including:
Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA).
Preliminary System Safety Assessments (PSSA).
System Safety Assessments (SSA).
Zonal Safety Assessments (ZSA).
Common Mode Analyses (CMA).
Master Minimum Equipment List (MMEL) safety justifications.
Define safety requirements derived from safety analyses, ensuring proper allocation, implementation, traceability, and verification at aircraft, system, and item level.
Coordinate closely with systems engineering and design teams to ensure safety requirements are correctly implemented.
