Responsible for the daily care, health, and welfare of the swine. This role requires strict adherence to biosecurity protocols, animal welfare standards, and production schedules. While this is a hands‑on labor position, it serves as the foundational training ground for future farm management.
Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by farm management and veterinary protocols.
Monitor feed and water systems daily to ensure proper intake and equipment functionality; clear feed jams as necessary.
Requirements
Graduate in BS Animal Science or any related field in agriculture
With or without experience
Ability to safely and humanely handle pigs
Familiarity in Swine husbandry practices, equipment, and technology
Has ability to record and monitor animal health, behavior, and production data
