Job Overview

The Senior Surgical Technician is a clinician who provides intra-operative technical assistance to physicians and Registered Nurses (RN) who care for patients experiencing a surgical intervention or other invasive procedure. This role actively participates in the work of the unit, committee work, and program level activities and projects and role models exemplary work standards.

The Operating Room at Anschutz campus is a 14 OR unit that treats children and adolescents for any level of injury or illness. The unit supports 24 different surgical specialties and performs more than 23,000 cases a year. We are a unique, yet impressive team comprised of bachelor’s prepared nurses, certified surgical technicians, anesthesia technicians, anesthesia providers, and surgeons.
