SUMMARY/DUTIES:
Maintains and coordinates scheduling for surgical and specialized procedures within the cardiology department
Works closely with physicians, clinic staff, and ancillary teams to ensure accurate booking of procedures, including verification of provider block time, room availability, equipment, and supplies
Enters and updates scheduling data, manages changes and reschedules, and communicates updates to patients and care teams
Verifies insurance eligibility, referrals, and authorizations prior to procedures to ensure compliance and readiness
