Summary This position is located in an Area Office in USDA/Rural Development (RD). Incumbent serves as the Area Director and key member of the State Director's staff, participating fully in the planning, development, and implementation of rural development and assistance programs. Responsibilities The incumbent is a key member of the State Director's staff, participating fully in planning, development and implementation of rural development and assistance programs throughout the assigned area. Analyzes program requirements and develops programs for effective implementation. Supervises and directs the Area Office employees. Formulates objectives and allocates available resources necessary to effectively implement Rural Development agency loan and/or grant programs for the assigned State.
