Job Summary The Substance Abuse Therapist provides mental health assessment, evaluation, and counseling for consumers with chemical dependency problems and families of those consumers. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, crisis intervention, acute psychiatric therapy, coordination of consumer referral, and provision of planned education/growth experiences. This position reports to Coordinator of Alcohol and Drug Services/ Prevention. Qualifications Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Chemical Abuse Treatment or a related field required. Experience as a clinician in a mental health setting or substance abuse treatment facility is preferred. Must be licensed or certified as a mental health professional.
