Help shape the stories New Zealand is talking about. As Story Development Producer, you'll work at the heart of our newsroom – planning daily coverage, developing compelling story ideas, and coordinating news content across platforms to keep audiences informed and engaged.
Reporting to the Head of Story Development and Operations, you will prepare and plan stories for daily news consumption, coordinating and supporting the development of news content for all platforms, organising daily news coverage, and developing story ideas.
The Story Development Producer works with reporters, managers, platform stakeholders and Bureau Editors to create a news diary and daily coverage plan, ensuring efficient use of resources and monitoring editorial developments. Additionally, the role requires developing sources within PR representatives and various agencies to harness and build on story ideas.
