What the role is The STEM Instructor (Workshop) role is to support teachers in the delivery of Design and Technology (D&T) coursework and practical lessons to ensure that lessons can be conducted in the workshops in a smooth and safe manner. You will also support teachers in projects and operational aspects of students’ learning in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
What you will be working on - Ensure the smooth and safe delivery of practical lessons by preparing teaching resources, setting up workshops/special rooms, guiding students in their projects/courses, supervising their use of tools, equipment and machines, and troubleshooting any related issues.
- Ensure the safety of the workshops/special rooms and storage stores by keeping abreast of safety guidelines and protocols, upkeeping of tools, equipment and machines, as well as proper storage and accountability.
