Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Current NYS RN license or eligible.
Previous OR experience preferred.
Those without recent previous Operating room experience must participate and pass the six month Association of Operating Room Nursing Peri-operative 101 Education Program. Successful completion and passing grade on the final exam is mandatory and a condition of employment as an Operating room RN.
BLS required or obtained within 3 months of hire. ACLS preferred.
Minimum one year medical/surgical experience preferred; preceptorship, charge and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs.
