Provides the full range of psychiatric diagnosis and treatment to patients, both inpatient and outpatient.
Handles consultations of cases referred from other services by offering clinical advice or assuming full responsibility of the care.
Contributes to the orientation of physicians, psychologists, nurses and other Medical Organization personnel in the early detection, recognition, management or referral of psychiatric cases.
Participates in continuing medical education for physicians and nurses by giving talks in staff meetings, presenting cases in ward rounds, and lecturing to nurses.
