Responsibilities

• Perform diagnosis, pre‑ and post‑operative care for all major and minor operative cases in oncological and general surgery.
• Provide expert medical care for ambulatory and hospitalized patients, including pre‑ and post‑operative management.
• Consult with physicians, surgeons, and other specialists as needed.
• Assume after‑hours responsibilities and make daily rounds for hospitalized patients.
• Order diagnostic laboratory studies, X‑ray examinations, and determine appropriate therapy.
• Assess patient eligibility for admission and discharge.
• Adhere to the By‑laws, Rules, and Regulations of the Medical Department and maintain standards of the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Hospitals.
• Participate in anesthesia selection in collaboration with anesthesiologists.
• Engage in in‑service activities such as lectures, conferences, and rounds.
