Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat illnesses and disorders
• Prescribe medications
• Make recommendations on lifestyle changes
• Answer patients' questions
• Provide primary care for patients suffering from common illnesses
• Work in one or more areas of specialization such as anesthesiology, family and general medicine, internal medicine, and pediatrics

Qualifications

• Medical degree
• Successful completion of a residency and internship
• State license and certification to practice medicine
• Knowledge and experience in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of illnesses
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
