The incumbent will independently or under the supervision of a senior sonographer perform all sonography imaging procedures, analyze output, and report to the supervisor as needed.
Responsibilities - Perform all ultrasound imaging procedures in accordance with department policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Apply detailed knowledge of anatomy and physiology to produce images of high diagnostic quality.
- Perform related radiography special procedures as required.
- Evaluate and assess ultrasound images for acceptable quality, appropriateness, and completeness, and advise other staff when necessary.
- Forward images to radiologists for review and reporting.
- Recognize anatomy and pathology in cross‑sectional imaging to optimize scan protocols and liaise with radiologists to arrange further imaging or tests.
