A growing Cheshire based business is hiring a Lead Developer to manage a team of four engineers. The role focuses on people leadership, team performance, and delivery ownership, not heavy hands‑on coding.
Responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day engineering activity, support developer development, and work closely with the Engineering Manager.
- Set standards across delivery, improve output, and help shape how the team works as the business scales.
- Act as the link between engineering execution and leadership direction, keeping work flowing and removing blockers.
- Work covers greenfield builds and legacy system improvements. Expect a 70/30 split, leadership first with some hands‑on involvement when required.
