Overview

Client is seeking a Software Safety Engineer to support the F-22 System Safety Team. This role is responsible for helping execute a system safety program that identifies, evaluates, and controls safety hazards to an acceptable level of risk. The engineer will support software safety activities across development, testing, and release cycles while partnering with design teams, suppliers, internal leadership, and external customers.

Core Responsibilities

• Support software development, test, and release cycles as the software safety subject matter expert


• Develop and execute the System Safety Program Plan


• Perform hazard identification, evaluation, and control activities for software safety


• Conduct functional hazard analyses, fault tree analyses, preliminary hazard analyses, and software hazard analyses using quantitative and qualitative methods
