Job Description
We are currently seeking an SMT Engineer to support an international organization focused on design and manufacturing of advanced interconnect solutions. This engineer will be joining a team focused on new product and R&D work. Daily it will be expected that this engineer will spend 40% of their time supporting new product development, 20% of their time focused on R&D, and 40% of their time interacting with customers understanding product concerns/constraints to recreate the issue to diagnose technical defects. This will include partnering closely with internal teams and external customers to develop, troubleshoot, and optimize SMT processing solutions for new and existing connector products. The engineer will be responsible for hands on soldering and board level work, developing thermal profiles, selecting solder paste and stencils, reviewing Gerber data and PCB footprints, and ensuring proper connector to board integration.
