Overview

Stagecoach Highlands is looking for a vehicle mechanical engineer to join the Portree depot. You will work on a diverse fleet of modern buses, coaches, sprinters, and other vehicles, ensuring that all vehicles are safe, reliable and fully compliant with UK regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair a modern fleet of buses, coaches and vans.
• Address mechanical and electrical faults on the road and in the depot.
• Support a cross‑functional team of mechanics, electricians, technicians and managers.
• Follow safety procedures and use provided specialist equipment.
• Assist with troubleshooting, diagnostics and preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

• Background in vehicle mechanical engineering (truck/HGV, rail, light commercial, automotive, or PCV).
