Sessional Instructor: CMMB 431, Department of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science
The Department of Biological Sciences within the Faculty of Science invites applications for a Fall 2026 Term Sessional Instructor, with a start date of August 1, 2026. The successful candidate will have responsibilities for instruction and associated duties for this 3-unit course, which will be offered in person.
CMMB 431 — Bacterial Pathogens. CMMB 431 provides an introduction to microbes that cause infections (in humans, other animals and plants). Topics include: the relationship between pathogen and host, the ability of pathogens to colonize, reproduce and cause disease, the role of antibiotics and vaccines in treatment and prevention of infection, antibiotic resistance in bacteria, and environmental control of virulence factor production.
