ROLE SUMMARY

We are looking for a highly experienced, self-sufficient WordPress Developer & Administrator to fully own our Azure hosted website. This is a sole-contributor role -- there is no internal WordPress expertise to rely on. You will independently handle all development, administration, performance, security, and Azure infrastructure, making sound technical decisions without escalation paths.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Development & Administration

•  Develop & maintain custom themes and plugins (PHP, JS, CSS)
•  Build integrations with third-party APIs and services
•  Manage WordPress core, plugin, and theme updates via staging
•  Administer users, roles, and editorial workflows
•  Optimise database performance (MySQL/MariaDB)

Infrastructure & Operations
