Understanding the strategic goals and the supporting business architecture. Obtaining and understanding how our information and data assets will be leveraged. Determining the application landscape and roadmap required. Identifying the in-place and required technology components. Facilitating opportunity identification (bottom-up) through portfolio management activities such as Application Portfolio Management (APM) where applications are analyzed, categorized, classified, and managed through their lifecycle.
