Better Finance (One Partner Limited) is a New Zealand financial services company. We're moving our core operations from Salesforce onto our own Python platform, and we're hiring a Senior Python Developer for a 3-month contract to help us ship the integration work that makes that possible.

This is a focused backend role. You'll build the Python clients, jobs, and modules that connect us to lenders, insurers, credit bureaux, and other third-party data sources — and you'll help cut dealer-inbound integrations across one brand at a time.

What you'll build

Over 3 months, the work falls into a handful of clear deliverables:

• Lender API adapters — Python clients for 8 NZ lenders (Heartland, NZCU, NECTAR, Oxford, Pioneer, Avanti, Aotea, Astrea), with proper authentication, retry, idempotency, and observability.
