Understand the evolving industry needs, and resultant requirements of our products.
Significant participation in automation design, working directly with the NPI and Machine Design (automation) teams to ensure the product design can be built in high volume, efficiently, and with the highest of quality.
Work directly with Signal Integrity (EE) team to ensure the mechanical design supports the electrical performance requirements of the product.
Work directly with Mechanical Integrity team to ensure the mechanical design provides for a high reliability (quality) over the life of the product. Including meeting all applicable industry, and internal, specifications.
Conduct, and understand, tolerance loop analyses.
Aid in material selection (metal, plastic, surface coatings, etc).
Develop initial product specifications and technical documentation.
