Responsibilities
  • Manage workshop budget and resources (staff, equipment, tools, processes).
  • Collaborate with Technical/Training Department on technician training programs to meet Principals requirements.
  • Conduct random audits for quality workmanship and on-time delivery to meet customers expectations.
  • Manage scrap parts storage and disposal (VAL-appointed scrap vendors).
  • Enforce warranty procedures according to Principals guidelines.
  • Partner with VAL Technical Department to address recurring technical, product, and quality issues.
  • Conduct staff performance appraisals and counseling.
  • Periodically monitor and review the status of roll-over vehicles, return jobs, and backordered parts.
  • Team with Foreman/CSA for test drives to identify customer issues.
  • Maintain a safe, clean workshop and conduct weekly ToolBox meetings to ensure a healthy, organized workplace.
