The Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) is responsible for the safe, reliable, and economic planning and operation of the Alberta Interconnected Electric System. We provide open and non-discriminatory access to Alberta’s interconnected power grid and also facilitate Alberta’s competitive wholesale electricity market. Reporting to the Manager, Standards & Modelling, you will coordinate and guide cross‑functional teams to develop Alberta Reliability Standards (ARS) for Alberta’s electricity industry. To succeed in this position, you will require knowledge of high voltage facilities, transmission system operations, and protection & control systems to lead and participate in stakeholder engagements with external industry working groups.
