We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the engineering teams behind the Xero Accounting App (XAA), our flagship mobile experience that helps small business owners stay on top of their finances wherever they are. You will contribute to high-velocity product delivery while maintaining a steadfast commitment to system health and engineering excellence, leveraging AI to improve productivity and ship value to our customers, faster.

You’ll seek clarity within technical complexities, making data-driven decisions and major code design choices that solve engineering problems at scale. As a role model for best practices, you will support your team in building high-quality products, ensuring our software is scalable, secure, and maintainable.
