About the role

We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to join our Core Platform team at slice. This team builds the foundational systems and shared services that power multiple product lines across the company.

As a Backend Engineer, you’ll work on large-scale distributed systems and platform capabilities that solve cross-cutting engineering problems at scale - including authentication & authorization, communications infrastructure, rule engines, document systems, fraud tooling, and internal developer platforms.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy building reusable systems, solving scalability challenges, improving platform reliability, and enabling fast product development across teams. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Infrastructure, Risk, Analytics, and Product teams to design systems that are scalable, resilient, and built for long-term evolution.
