Description

The Science Lab Specialist position is a 12-month position in the Natural Sciences Department on the Pensacola Campus. The successful candidate will manage the chemistry laboratory and chemical storage areas. The primary roles of the Science Lab Specialist will be to set up lab equipment for experiments and maintain a safe, clean environment for students, faculty, and staff. Laboratory set up will include preparation of chemical solutions, maintaining working condition of all equipment, and ensuring a safe laboratory environment. Additional duties include, but are not limited to: maintenance and record keeping of material safety data sheets (MSDS) and hazardous materials, repair and purchase of lab equipment, and assisting chemistry faculty and students as necessary.
