**Job Description:**

Responsible for registering and scheduling patients at Intermountain Health facilities system-wide, ensuring that processes and procedures exceed customer expectations. Acts as a liaison between the provider’s office and facility.
**Essential Functions**

+ Maintains the surgery schedule, providing necessary information to patients and providers
+ Conducts patient pre-certification for insurance approval for appointments and medical care
+ Coordinates and ensures necessary equipment is ordered, room availability, pre-surgery medication is arranged prior to scheduled procedure
+ Communicates detailed information and answers patient’s questions regarding surgery preparation instructions arrival/departure instructions
+ Schedules any necessary follow up appointments as directed by provider
+ Performs other duties as assigned
