Summary:
Responsible for the operation of the YWCA York’s Emergency Shelter facility when on duty. The work involves providing support and presenting options to residents and clients in a trauma-informed manner. Must be dedicated to the mission of YWCA York.
Starting Salary: $16.00/per hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
When on duty: Responsible for the security of the building, contents of the building, and the well-being of building occupants. Must hold scheduled fire evacuation drill monthly and orient new residents to evacuation procedures. Conduct intakes, answer the hotline, and perform hospital accompaniments as needed. Provide support services, information, and referrals. Oversee shelter clients and enforce the rules and regulations of YWCA York Emergency Shelter. Case reviews are held at every shift change.
