Duties Description The Bureau of Early Intervention is responsible for the New York State Early Intervention Program (NYSEIP), an entitlement program which provides services to approximately 70,000 infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families. Expenditures for this program exceed $650 million annually. Under the direction of the Data and Program Evaluation unit manager, the Research Scientist 2 (RS2) will provide support to the Bureau of Early Intervention with data management and program analysis to contribute to research in early childhood and to assure compliance with federal and state reporting requirements. The RS2 will be responsible for contributing to the performance report regulated by the Office of Special Education Programs and reports posted on the DOH website.
