To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: **Essential criteria** 1. PhD in pharmacology or a related subject.
2. Practical experience in platelet chemotaxis and aggregation assays.
3. Practical experience in calcium mobilisation assays.
4. Knowledge of relevant software packages, including Word, Excel and GraphPad Prism.
5. Track record of published research in peer-reviewed journals of international standing.
6. Research experience in respiratory pharmacology.
7. Personal animal licence and experience in in vivo experiments. **Desirable criteria** 1. Record of presenting scientific research at national or international conferences.
2. Excellent interpersonal skills.
