Reporter/Host

CityNews Vancouver is looking for a versatile candidate to host our scheduled newscasts, 24/7 streaming service and produce news stories when required. You should be able to host live newscasts and report live from the scene of breaking news when needed. The position will require shift work like early morning, evening and weekend shifts.

What you will do:

• Host scheduled newscasts, 24/7 streaming service and special productions in Vancouver
• Take a lead role in breaking news coverage
• Book, write and conduct newsmaker interviews every day
• Work with the editorial leaders on daily news coverage
• Write scripts and produce content from video gathered in the field
• Produce news stories in the field when required
• Work with the team to produce prime time specials when required
