POSITION SUMMARY
Performs duties in the care of adult and pediatric patients in medical/surgical, pediatric, and obstetrical settings in the primary care Ambulatory care setting and as needed in medically emergent situations. Reports to the Ambulatory & Outpatient Services Manager or designee for day to day activities and to the Chief Nursing Officer for healthcare related skills.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Utilizes the medical assistant healthcare process to assess, implement and evaluate care to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, and socio-cultural needs of the Ambulatory care patient and his/her family in collaboration with the RN staff under the direction of the provider. Observes the patient's clinical condition; recognizes serious situations and with the RN staff, identifies, interprets, and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
