Description

General Surgery is an inpatient surgical unit that specializes in the care of patients who have experienced GI diseases such as colon cancer, diverticulitis, GI bleeding, hernia repair, pancreatic cancer, gallbladder, etc. These patients may be in the preoperative or recovery phase. Medical care is provided primarily by General Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Colon Rectal but may involve other specialists such as Internal Medicine, Hospitalist, etc. We also work very closely with other departments such as respiratory care, pharmacy, nutrition, physical and occupational therapy, social services/case management, wound care, and pastoral services.
