Prepares clinical and progress notes, coordinates services, and works as liaison between treating physician and other personnel regarding changes in the client’s condition and family members.
Counsels the clients and family in meeting nursing and related needs.
Participates in in‑service programs and supervises and teaches other nursing personnel.
Monitors and records vital signs and reports abnormal values to the treating physicians.
Administers prescribed medications.
Monitors intravenous infusions and parenteral therapies.
Provides care to clients with tracheostomy, gastrostomy, and colostomy.
Provides care to clients with pacemaker, peritoneal dialysis, and clients on ventilator.
Delivers nursing care to clients with hemiplegic, paraplegic, Bell’s palsy, cerebral palsy, terminally ill and elderly patients.
