Job Summary : Directs, oversees, and evaluates the activities and functions of nutritional aspects of patient care.
Reports to : Director of Patient Care Unit
Hourly range : $30.84 – 53.49 per hour (posted hourly range excludes overtime and bonuses which are not guaranteed)
Essential Job Functions
- Ensure that nutritional needs of the patients are met in accordance with practitioners’ orders and acceptable standards of practice.
- Supervise the nutritional aspects of patient care including developing patient menus for appropriate diets as specified by the by the State Department of Health and or Clinical Dietetics Manual.
- Provide patient, family and caretaker dietary counseling and education upon request including assessing and evaluating patient tolerance to therapeutic diets when appropriate.
