Observes and supervises Bus Operations activities to ensure maximum schedule adherence for field assignments. Troubleshoots mechanical and electronic equipment problems, such as radios and fare boxes for field assignments. Uses information available from CAD system to evaluate service and adjust as necessary to maintain consistent reliable service levels. Coordinates with other NJ TRANSIT departments and outside agencies as required to handle extraordinary events, such as: fuel spills, major accidents, traffic interruptions, weather conditions and rail disruptions. Investigates service related complaints to determine cause, recommends possible solutions and monitors implementation of solutions.
