Nature and scope:

The RFU is committed to appointing a dedicated team of coaches to support the development of talent in our Women’s Performance and Pathway teams. The Women’s Scrum Coach is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive scrum strategy within our teams and programmes, from the Red Roses through our international teams and into the centrally run Player Development Groups (PDG). 

The Women’s Scrum Coach will work with the Head Coaches of the Red Roses, international pathway teams and PDG leads to create a vision and plan for the long-term development of young athletes. This will be aligned and supported by the Men’s England Pathway Scrum Coach.

The Women’s Scrum Coach will be an ambassador for our Performance Pathway, the national team, and passionate about developing young talent creating a strong performance culture that reflects RFU values.
