The Legal Department of David Weekley Homes is accepting applicants for Real Estate & Transactional attorneys to work in the Legal Department at our home office in Houston. A qualified candidate must have experience in a law firm or corporate legal department, that specifically includes real estate, land acquisition and development contracts for home-building or land development companies.
Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate land purchase contracts, land finance documents, and other agreements related to the acquisition and/or development of raw land and single-family lots.Prepare documents for the formation of property owners associations and monitor the proper management and turnover of the associations.Draft, review, and negotiate Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&Rs), declarations, bylaws, and other documents related to subdivisions and housing projects.Review title commitmen...
