R&D Technician

Job Purpose

Prepare test recipes for new ingredients and finished products to meet customer needs, under direct supervision.

Essential Functions

+ Prepare test recipes for new ingredients and finished products according to established instructions provided by Supervisor/Manager and fellow R&D team members; collect product data, measurements, and pictures as needed

+ Learn to identify concerns with recipe performance, working with Food Technologists/Scientists to modify recipes, as needed, to ensure a successful product

+ Document modifications made to recipes for clarification and approval by Food Technologists/Scientists; record observations and outcomes/deviations from plans

+ Learn to assist in the execution of pilot lab runs, consumer tests, plant trials, and validation trials
